Wheel of Life Coalition is a ministry that seeks to help end domestic violence and child abuse. While that is the mantra of this ministry, they do more than that. WOLC reaches out to women to promote self-confidence and to raise their self-esteem or self-worth. Women are empowered with the knowledge that they are special and that there is a God who loves them in their program called Woman of Worth. A lot of women have been prayed with and prayed for concerning the issues they bring forth at various conferences, meetings, community events, and one-on-one conversations.
I have been associated with WOLC/WOW for a couple of years. I have even been a part of the planning process of some of their outreaches. Each time we gather with women, there is no shortage of hurt, pain, isolation, guilt, shame, and fear. These outreaches are needed. Sure there are other programs out there who deal with the same issues but they can only do so much. The need is greater than the few organizations that are in the community. I encourage anyone who reads this to prayerfully consider how to get involved and show your support. Together, we can change the world, one woman at a time.

Going to WOW meetings gives a woman the opportunity to learn who God says she is in His word. She has the chance to share her trials and/or listen to others and be encouraged in her own daily walk. She becomes part of a support system through prayer and interaction. I personally have been blessed by the chance to help and encourage others. God's word has come alive to me, in the areas of who I am in Christ. Having others to lean on during trials has enabled me to continue in joy and peace. I have gained life-time friends. Ladies I know that I can count on to love me and pray for me, no matter how far away I am. Thank you WOW!!
